The Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company was formed in Meriden, Connecticut, and over the years produced Art Brass tables, call bells, candlestick holders, clocks, match safes, lamps, architectural grilles, railings, etc. Overall the company patented 238 designs and mechanical devices. This pair of bookends/doorstops is finely crafted and detailed of cast iron. The bookends are a mirrored pair and features the likeness of a Boston Terrier dog. The pieces were originally cold-painted and retain some of the original painted finish. Embossed on the inner side with “B&H” logo. Set presents well and is in very good antique condition, with minor wear/tarnish and patina commensurate with age. There is loss to painted finish. Antique Bradley & Hubbard B & H Flower Basket Cast Iron Bookends Door Stops

For sale is a pair of antique Cast Iron Flower Basket Bookends made by Bradley and Hubbard. Each one is marked on the back with the “B & H” logo. Measure 4 1/4″ tall x 5 ” wide x slightly more than 3 deep. Each weighs 3 lbs. The design is a pretty woven basket that contains multicolored flowers with a green drape beneath. The cast iron and basket are an aged gold patina. There are no chips, cracks, or dents. There is some wear of the color on the large front flower and some minor stains on the lower left of one bookend. I didn’t attempt to remove it. Pair Vint Black Americana 10 1/4 CAST IRON JOCKEY FIGURES Doorstops or Bookends

10 1/4 Tall CAST IRON JOCKEY FIGURES. Combined these weigh about 6 ¾ pounds and have their original paint, probably from the early-to-mid 1900’s. The faces have very fine features and they look quite smashing in their trim custom jackets, pants and tall riding boots. I don’t see any maker’s name or mark although that could be under the green felt glued to the bases to protect the surface of whatever they are put on. They are modeled on both sides and are very detailed. The collars, faces and feet are very detailed and even the fur is detailed over their whole bodies. Littco / Hubley Cast Iron 1920’s Navy Sea Captain Doorstop Bookends Number 735. There is very little to no information about these cast iron figures on the Internet. The only identifying marks are the numbers 735 imprinted on both figures. Our best guess is that these figures are bookends from the 1920’s made by Littco. Because of their age, they are definitely in a used condition. There are numerous chips all over both figures. We do not know if the paint is original. The pictures may do a better job showing this.
