I have a few other cast iron doorstops and/or paper weights. Here is a very nice vintage cast iron 10 sitting cat doorstop. This weighs a bit over 7lbs unboxed. The paint has wear, but it’s not too bad really. I could not find any markings. There may be some under the felt, but I didn’t see any with what is exposed. I’ve seen this style doorstop listed as being from the 1880s-1890s or so. I’m not sure, but it without question has some age! Please see pics for more details. I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER IT. VOTE TO CHANGE THINGS! I USUALLY HAVE DIFFERENT CHOICES.

RARE Original Antique ALBANY FOUNDRY or HUBLEY CAST IRON Sitting BLACK CAT Doorstop Statue. 7″ Tall x 3 1/2″ on base. Heavy and weighs in at approx. 9 LBS 7 OZ. Vintage Used Condition-Excellent Condition. Founded by John E. Hubley in 1894 to manufacture equipment and accessories for electric trains. From day one, John Hubley emphasized toy and bank manufacturing. The first Hubley toys appeared in 1909 and were made of cast-iron Anything Hubley ever made was always made in Cast Iron. Today, Hubley is most known for their Cast Iron Toys. Hubley’s Marking Style. Their Numbers on back were usually in. Engraved in the back of the Doorstop. The earliest (original) creations were marked this way, and then later on they added “made in USA”.

Unusual cast iron door stopper depicting a colonial-era hunter wearing his hunting pink and seated with his hunting dog. While the piece is evidently 20th or 21st century, the figure’s attire dates to the 18th or early 19th centuries. The hunter sits on a rock with his faithful partner, holding his gun, and with two game birds next to him. It measures approx 11″ tall x 12″ wide x 3 3/4 deep and weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces. A great addition to any home as either a door stop or as a piece of art.

Antique Hubley Door Stop Scottie Dog Scottish Terrier Cast Iron Black 11 RARE. Genuine cast iron door stop weight I 9 pounds 7 ounces has 2 flat head screw in side and imprint on bottom hard to make out, but can see the letter H very clearly, many HUBLEY doorstops were stamped Hubley or FISH for Annie Fish who was a artist that worked at Hubley. Beautiful original paint all the seams and joints and the 2 screwsall match up to all the Hubley’s I’ve seen and researched. Came from a 78 year old collector in eastern Ohio that included lots of early hand forged iron and stoneware crockery and many early fine collectibles. See all pictures and my feedback.

Old Folk Art Cat Boot Scraper Doorstop Decorative Art Statue. Kitty kat proudly strutting with tail in the air. Circa 1920s nicely detailed double sided piece. Cast iron with two holes in bottom plate for mounting. Piece weighs approximately 5lb 5oz. Measures approximately 9 1/4″ wide by 9 1/4″ tall. Please view all twelve pictures to appreciate the piece. Show some wear and tear with age and use noted. Appears to have been repainted touched up. And bottom edge base chip occured during one of its nine lives.
