Antique Cast Iron Painted Santa Claus Belsnickle Figure Door Stop 1905 Christmas

Wonderful cast iron Santa Claus / Belsnickle figure with original paint. He is stamped 1905 at the front of the base. I collected door stops for a long time and this is from my personal collection. From what I can recall from some prior research I believe there were a series of these made from various molds made by Hubley perhaps? So I think he is actually part of a broader set that depicts Santas over the ages. But he is unmarked. I believe this year – 1905 – is fairly rare as I have never seen one when I have researched periodically. He has been with me for some time and well cared for. He is pretty cute and doesn’t eat much! He stands just 4-1/2 inches high but is quite heavy as he is formed from cast iron. He weighs just shy of 2-1/2 pounds unpacked. Such a charming addition to your vintage Christmas collection!
