These fine turn-of-the (20th)-century Matching Cast Iron doorstops each feature a parrot or cockatoo surrounded by rococo scrollwork and a ring handle top. The condition is exceptional used, with mostly extant original paint and verdigris highlights among the cast iron scrollwork. Both impressed with the numbers “145” on verso. Mostly original paint remains with minor losses. Dimensions ea: 9.25 in. H x 5 in. W x 1-7/8 in. Weight, unpacked, pair: 4 lbs.

It is tarnished and missing a bottom. It also has rust, oxidation, peeling of paint, white paints, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos). This is for an antique lovey wonderful condition Cast Iron Parrot Doorstop. This cockatoo measures: 14 inches tall x 5 inches wide x 5 inches deep. This guy is full of bright colors of yellows, reds, oranges, black and greens and look like he was well cared for. He has tall feathers on his head to an open beak to being perched on a branch. There are age appropriate minute chips on the base. He appears to have been a collector piece and not used much if at all. All items are vintage and if more then normal age appropriate use / condition issues – then it will shown in the listing / pictures. I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices. I take all my own pictures in my home and as such try and get all the colors as true to correct as possible. Please let me know if need any addition pictures or clarification on the pictures I have posted. Remember most items will show wear. Assume items are preloved and or vintage and such can have its own idiosyncrasies due to age alone and normal wear and tear. Remember vintage items have been used and will have small issues like surface scratches and age appropriate wear. I will show any major issues in my pictures as they are part of the description. The figural piece measures 14 in height and is in the form of a cockatoo perched on a branch. The impressive bird retains a little of the original paint, circa 1920’s, and has a nice worn patina. It is in excellent condition and very heavy, weighing 12.5 pounds. It does not appear to have a maker’s signature. A great item to add to any collection of vintage cast iron door stops.
