RARE Antique 19th C CAST IRON PAINTED Hollow DUCK Feathered DECOY Sink Box

RARE Antique 19th C CAST IRON PAINTED Hollow DUCK Feathered LIFE SIZE DECOY – The decoy (possibly sink box decoy although we have had 2 before and the bottoms were different) is very unique and rare- we have never found another one like this. It is very primitive and is painted and has a loss of paint and surface wear. The eyes appear to be glass or faux glass- one is worn and/or broken off. The decoy measures approx 12″ length, 4 2/16″ wide at widest point and approx 5.5 tall. The duck is very unique and it has a hollowed out bottom which decreases the weight. We cannot find any markings on it and through research have not been able to find anything else about it. Please view our other auctions for other early antiques and collectibles.
