Antique Hubley Cast Iron Fox Terrier Dog Doorstop Extra Rare Front Facing Large

This stunning vintage cast iron door stop is Hubley’s model #381, which is the very rare larger sized front-facing Fox Terrier model from the 1920’s to 1930’s. The extra large profile measures approximately 12″ long by 10″ high by 4 deep, and it weighs about 9 pounds! It has excellent detailed workmanship from the tip of his nose to his toes. Even the fur is three-dimensional! The hand painted eyes, ears, pink tongue and fur have a beautiful patina commensurate with age. There are no cracks or other structural damage. The original factory paint is in wonderful condition with small chips (typical with this age of cast iron collectibles) as seen in the photos. Antique Cast Iron 10.5 Hubley Rare Left Facing Boston Terrier Dog Doorstop

Rare Hubley left facing Boston Terrier doorstop. This is an original turn of the century casting from The Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, PA. The left facing terriers are the rarest and hardest to find due to their limited production quantity of less than 10% of all terriers made. This door stop measures 10-1/2 tall from the floor to the top of the ears. It is 9-1/2 in length. It weighs 7 lbs. 10.6 oz’s. The seams are tight and shows the necessary craftsmanship markings of an original, early 1900’s Hubley. There is damage to the screw head at the slot. The entire piece has been repainted and shows signs of wear. However, there is no damage to the cast iron. See photo’s for details. Comes from a smoke and pet free home. Antique Hubley Cast Iron German Shepherd Dog Doorstop X Rare Large Front Facing

This wonderful figural Hubley model #380 cast iron German Shepherd doorstop is the more rare extra large front facing orientation. It measures approximately 13″ long by 10″ high by 4 deep, weighs about 5 1/2 pounds, and it is in wonderful condition. The hand painted eyes, ears and fur have a beautiful patina commensurate with age. It has excellent detailed workmanship head to toe, and even the fur is three-dimensional. There are no cracks or other structural damage. The original factory paint is in wonderful condition with tiny chips in several areas (see photos), typical of cast iron collectibles of this age. This rarely seen size and orientation is a must for any doorstop or cast iron collector, and for dog lovers too!
