A vintage heavy solid cast iron black retriever dog door stop. Note the solid base plinth and original paint. Unsigned, dates to the 1930’s – 40’s. Measures a full 7 ½ inch long, 4 ¾ inch tall and 1 7/8 inch thick. Weighs 3 pounds 3 ounces before boxing. Condition is great as there are NO chips, nicks, cracks, broken or repaired parts present.. Natural age and usage scratches present (see close-up photos). Photos add and aide in the description.

Originally designed as an andiron, this piece of late 19th century American was turned into a dorp stop. It can still be used in front of the fire grate where the dim firelight seems to create the mysterious glowing and “following eyes” of the watchful feline. 17.5 length / height when laying flat. When standing, the leaning height is 16.25″ tall x 9.75″ wide at the base, and 5 deep from front of base leg to back of back leg. The cast iron cat Figural is a quarter inch thick, and the depth of the cat figure is 1.75 thick from the nose to the back of the figure. The andrion figural cat weighs a full 6.5 lbs. With the box and packaging, the weight is a full 8 lbs. This awesome estate sale find is offered “As Is” and is not refundable nor returnable. THESE ARE TYPICALLY BRADLEY & HUBBARD THOUGH THIS ONE JUST HAS AN IMPRESSED NUMBER ON ITS UNDERSIDE. Thank you for your interest, please let me know if you have any questions or need more details.
