Up for sale is an extremely rare antique solid cast iron figural doorstop made the second half of the 19th century. The stop is in the form of an armed Scottish soldier standing on a platform base with his hand propped on the rock background. It’s made of very thick iron, is extremely heavy, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The casting is an exceedingly rare form. In nice antique condition and measures 14 3/4 inches tall by 12 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches back to front. Thank you for visiting “Dusty Treasures ” and please feel free to browse through. Up for sale is a wonderful antique late 19th century solid cast iron figural doorstop. It’s a nice quality casting, is a heavy piece, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The stop is in the form of a young girl standing on a grass designed base tightly holding a basket in her hand. It is in nice condition and measures 9 3/4 inches tall by 5 inches wide by 2 inches thick. The piece has been repainted but is a very early repaint.
