The Hubley Manufacturing Company was incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by John Hubley. This doorstop is #484 and could be from the early 1900’s-1940’s. In good condition with normal wear, please see all pictures for condition.
Vintage 1920’s Re-Painted Hubley Flowers in Pot Door Stop. Made of heavy cast iron. The door stop has been repainted. Coloring and paint job is very nice and bright.
Up for sale is a wonderfully large antique original early 20th century solid cast iron figural doorstop. It’s a nice quality casting, is an extremely heavy piece, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The stop is in the form of a flower basket and, is in nice condition, and measures 12 inches tall by 11 1/4 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches back to front. This listing is for a single sided cast iron Flower Basket doorstop that is marked 818. I have found 2 others on the internet that were identical with the 818 marking that were documented to be early 20th Century Hubley. They stated that they originally had paper labels above the 818 markings. This door stop measures. Tall ” x 6-1/2″ wide across the base. 7-1/4 wide across the fullest part of the center. It weighs 6 pounds 2 ounces. Good overall condition with some light normal wear to finish. I see no cracks. There are paint runs on the back (see 2 photos showing the backside). Nothing more, nothing less. My photos show different sides. PLEASE VIEW EACH OF MY 9 ENLARGED PHOTOS WHICH ARE THE BIGGEST PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. THIS WILL BE PACKAGED VERY, VERY CAREFULLY.
