Vintage CAST IRON MIDWEST IMPORTERS DOOR STOP Lovely Teapot & Flowers Motif

This is a lovely Vintage Cast Iron. Midwest Importers Door Stop that features a beautiful teapot & floral motif and has colorful, original paint. 7 1/2″ tall x 6″ wide and weighs in at almost 3 pounds. This vintage door stop would make an awesome addition to any homes decor or collection, and would make a great gift, too! It would also make an interesting & decorative conversation piece. The pictures above show the condition of the actual item you will receive, as I don’t use stock photography. This vintage door stop is in good condition, but does show. Hubley Pansy Bowl 256 Cast Iron Doorstop Door Stop Vintage Original Flowers Urn

HUBLEY “PANSY BOWL” #256 CAST IRON DOORSTOP. The doorstop is referred to in collector books as Hubley’s #256 “Pansy Bowl”. It depicts a bouquet of brightly colored pansy blooms in a striped pink and white urn. The doorstop stands about 6 5/8″ tall and measures approximately 7″ wide. The back side is painted white. This doorstop is pictured on page 140 in the book. The back side has the stamped number “256”, the correct mold number for this piece. This doorstop is guaranteed to be a vintage cast iron doorstop and NOT a modern reproduction (this doorstop has not been reproduced). Condition of this vintage doorstop is VERY GOOD. It has been well cared for. The paint has some nicks and minor wear, but is all original with no touch up. What appears to be the original felt is still attached to the underside of the base. Overall, this doorstop looks fantastic and would make a fine addition to any collection. Please take a close look at the many photos I’ve provided and judge condition for yourself. Vintage MODERNISTIC FLOWERS Cast Iron Doorstop 1930’s Art Deco HTF

This is the hard-to-find Modernistic Flowers cast iron doorstop as pictured in Jeanne Bertoias Doorstops Identification and Values price guide. 9 ¾ high x 9 ½ wide by 1 ¾ deep. There are no makers marks that I can detect. The flowers are blue, white, with yellowish-orange centers; the leaves are deep green with a blue hand-painted design; and the base is black with yellowish-orange polka dots. As visible in the photos, the original paint shows wear, chipping and crazing, which is typical for its age and intended use. The back and underside show some minor oxidation. Important to note is that there is a stress crack in the casting where the flower connects to the pot, which based on my research, is fairly common for this particular doorstop. Please be sure to view all the photos as they are part of the description. This is a nice old doorstop that has been in our family since the 1960s and I guarantee it to be authentic and not a repro or repaint. Happy to answer any questions, so please feel free to ask.
