Antique Albany Foundry #148 “Tulips” Cast Iron Doorstop. Early Albany piece circa 1870’s marked on the back. An early doorstop, this one dates back to the 1870’s. This marked on the back on the left side base with the Albany Foundry marks although they are hard to make out and on the right side base with the number 148 which is a bit easier to see. In very good condition with original paint. Some wear to the high spots on the flowers. One small touchup to the black base. Base has some duct tape as a pad. Measures 8 1/2 inches tall by 7 1/16 inches wide. Weighs 5.1 lbs.

Needs a little cleaning, I have not cleaned it, right out NH attic 3. Paint on the front is a little faded, some light surface rust 4. Paint is original, never been altered.
