Antique Cast Iron Red Coat Peter Rabbit Mr McGregor’s Garden Painted Doorstop

A wonderful and hard to find antique cast iron Peter Rabbit picking carrots in Mr McGregor’s garden doorstop that measures 6.5 by 8.75 inches weighs over 4.5 pounds. This doorstop was in my Grandmother’s house in Connecticut for years. I do not see any maker marks. There is age paint loss, marks, rust on the bottom and discoloration as seen in the photo’s. Measuring 8 ½” tall by 3 ¾” wide by 4 ¼ deep, this antique Cast Iron Rabbit could be used as a doorstop or as a figural Garden Statue. It has an old iron surface and there is some rust around the original painted surface. The small white spot you see on the side is original filler covering the screw. Original this was painted like the rest of the rabbit. There are no maker’s marks on this antique Cast Iron Rabbit and you will find that it has been listed with no reserve!
