Antique Doorstop Hubley Grace Drayton Cast Iron Cat # 73 Twin Kittens Home Art
HUBLEY GRACE DRAYTON # 73 Cast Iron Kittens Door Stop with a nice Smooth Finish and Paint Statue. If you look close at last photo of the 10 in total-You will see two green arrows that I put there as a reference of the mold differences in this very early produced one compared to some others you may see that are of a later produced mold with the back looking different in those areas than this one and there are some other subtle differences. This one has a very very nice look to it and the paint was hand done back in the day by hired artist. Newer repop door stops have a shiney paint and there metals surfaces are rough compared to this one. If you look close you can see there whiskers and eye brows along with there beautiful blue eyes. Great addition to any top door stop collection. And a Great Gift for sure. It will never loose it’s value. (I will include a new piece of black or green felt for bottom which will be cut to fit with one side having adhesive of course :): Let me know- or I can pick color/felt for bottom for you-Thanks.. Size is 7″ inches Tall by 4″&3/4 inches wide at bottom(from side to side) The Bottom is 1″&3/4 inches deep at base(front to back of base) Weights 4 Pound 13.5 ounces(see photo on scale) “Condition Description No Damage as far cracks etc. Packaged well No Worries. This Hubley Door Stop was part of one of the best original early Door Stop Collections I have scene in a few years. The Collector was a woman who obviously knew door stops and collected the most original and early Door Stops she could find over her life. I managed to acquire quite a few which I will be listing as time permits. Has the Hubley type cast numbers on back and the original paint is unbelievable in my opinion.
