I have had this Kitty for ever!! Sits on our fireplace and many people have wanted it over the years. I have never seen another on exactly like it. The eyes can almost talk to you. It measures 13″ long and 7 1/2″ tall and weighs 13 lbs. I had it sitting on window sill looking out at Christmas and everyone thought coming up on porch that it was real. Please see all pictures. Rare, antique sleeping black cat cast iron doorstop. Shows wear consistent with age and use. Some very light nicks on the paint/cast iron and one larger chip on the edge where the two pieces attach (shown in photos). Cast iron has a nice patina and displays well. Vintage Early Produced Cast Iron Cat Kitten Door Stop with a nice Smooth Finish and Paint Statue. (I will include a new piece of black felt for bottom which will be cut to fit with one side having adhesive of course :): Size is 7″ inches Tall by 3″&3/4 inches wide at bottom(from side to side) The Bottom is 3″&1/2 inches by 3″&1/2 inches. The inner opening on bottom is 2″&1/4 inches by 2″&1/4 inches. Weights 6 Pound 5.5 ounces(see photo on scale) “Condition Description” No Damage as far cracks etc. Packaged well No Worries. This Hubley Door Stop was part of one of the best original early Door Stop Collections I have scene in a few years. The Collector was a woman who obviously knew door stops and collected the most original and early Door Stops she could find over her life. I managed to acquire quite a few which I will be listing as time permits. Has the Hubley type cast numbers on back and the original paint is unbelievable in my opinion.
