Up for sale is an extremely rare antique solid cast iron figural doorstop. The stop is in the form of a man swinging a hatchet over his head in front of a large tree. He stands on a routed half circle base with lettering on the front and a hallmark on the back that are a bit illegible from age. It’s made of very thick iron, is extremely heavy, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The casting is a rare form, is in good antique condition, and measures 15 1/2 inches tall by 10 1/2 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches back to front.
