Antique National Foundry “Cottage with Picket Fence” Cast Iron Door Stop. National Foundry design #32. Brightly colored piece showing a flower adorned cottage with picket fence. The three pickets on either side of the cottage identify this as the National Foundry design of this popular motif. The thatched roof version of this piece is shown in “The Doorstop Book” by John & Nancy Smith on page 240. In very good condition with some paint wear, mainly to the base foreground & roof edge. Antique Cast Iron Tulip Pot Flower Doorstop National Foundry, Whitman MA 1920

Description : Think SpringAn antique painted cast iron figural Flower Doorstop, National Foundry, Whitman, Massachusetts, c. This is Tulip Pot , National Foundry design No. A relatively heavy stop with (5) robust Tulips filling up a fluted and tiered flowerpot-type base. Note : The National Foundry was a contemporary of Hubley by 10 years or so. Each Tulip Pot is entirely unique with an endless variety of color combinations ; true American Folk Art! It has not been cleaned. Moderate, age-appropriate crazing noted on the surface throughout (see close-ups). Displays brilliantly as-is, but could also certainly from light cleaning, if desired. Cast Iron Doorstop Hubley National Wired Hair Fox Terrier Airdale Dog Door Stop

This is for a nice old cast iron doorstop. I believe it was made by Hubley but could be made by National Foundry. Browns and blacks in for colors. It seems to be in good shape except for very light paint wear and normal use and age wear, no cracks, breaks or repairs. 8 ½ tall x 8 ½ long give or take a ¼, hard to measure exact.
