Antique Cat Napping Cast Iron Doorstop National Foundry 1932 Statue Art Albany

Exceptional and RARE Antique Sleeping Cast Iron Black Sleeping Cat life size life like Doorstop, Excellent condition, well preserved! Approximate dimensions are 5″ Tall 16 ” wide, 10 ¼ long, appx 25 pounds. Little signs of use as doorstop, small white paint mark on side where got nicked by door. Circa early 1900’s, less than 1000 were produced by Albany and National. It has been said that less than 80 are still in circulation. All were taken by the war efforts. For Reference See The Doorstop Book by John and Nancy Smith, page 112, high value. I will post more photo’s without glare upon request.
