Cute Vintage Cast Iron Hubley Wire Fox Terrier Puppy Doorstop Bookend Figurine

This heavy, full-bodied doorstop or bookend was probably made in the 1930’s and has its magnificent, original paint with a traditional brown, black-and-white coat, very expressive eyes with a vivid red collar and red mouth. The mold detail is very crisp, and the paint application seems to be a little thicker than usual. The age-crackling of the paint actually accentuates the illusion of a wire-haired coat. This vintage collectible is unmarked, but is in excellent, vintage condition with spots of chipping paint and characteristic wear including small areas of rust. There is no damage to the metal, no cracks or breaks, but this little pup does have just-visible mold seams. This adorable little dog is 4-3/4″ tall, about 5-3/4″ long and 2-1/4 wide. Antique Hubley Cast Iron Doorstop Boston Terrier Puppy Dog Solid 4 1/2 Tall

This is the small solid doorstop. It measures about 5 3/4″ long, by 4 1/2″ tall to the top of the head. It weighs about 3.95 pounds. The condition is about good. There are no chips, cracks, breaks or hairlines to the cast iron. The paint is all original, with much wear, loss and rust. A very presentable old doorstop. I believe this is one of the harder dogs to find. The photos are an integral part of my description. They will give an accurate representation, and best tell the story. If you require a specific carrier, please inform me before I send an invoice.
