Up for sale is a wonderful antique original Hubley solid cast iron figural doorstop. It’s a nice quality casting, is a heavy piece, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The stop is in the form of a Japanese girl sitting on an ornate embossed pillow playing a string instrument. It is in nice condition with original paint and measures 7 inches tall by 6 1/4 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches back to front. The piece has some paint loss as seen in photos. In exceptionally good condition, this circa 1944 original anti-Hitler skunk doorstop/paperweight was a popular item of Allied propaganda. I’ve seen this hybrid given the nickname “Skitler” for the grotesque combination of a skunk and Hitler, and, in their 1944 catalog, the Johnson Smith & Company offered this door stopper, naming it “Der Phew-er” (the Fuhrer). Hitler’s face is hand painted and the surviving examples I’ve seen of this piece show various levels of artistic ability. Here, Hitler is well painted and most of the detail remains. Cast into the underside of the upright tail are the names of Mussolini (Italian leader) & Hirohito (Japanese leader) with an arrow pointing downward to the unmentionable area. Excellent condition, but possibly paint retouched on nose and chin. Length: 5 inches Weight: 2 lb.

Vintage MCF Hallmarked Black and White Cast Iron Puppy Dog door stop. Pretty rare item, not many come on market in past few years. It measures 6 3/4 inches height. Has some paint loss from age and use -see pics. Has felt on bottom which is handy to prevent scratching on wood or tile surfaces. This door stop has the look, vintage and adorable. A great addition to any collection or wonderful decor. There is just something wonderful about vintage cast iron.

Up for sale is an extremely rare antique solid cast iron figural doorstop made the second half of the 19th century. The stop is in the form of an armed Scottish soldier standing on a platform base with his hand propped on the rock background. It’s made of very thick iron, is extremely heavy, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The casting is an exceedingly rare form. A rare Virginia Metalcrafters cast iron pineapple door stop. These are very hard to find – Virginia Metalcrafters made them for Colonial Williamsburg but they’re simply marked “Pineapple Products” – I see another one of these online that has the original Virginia Metalcrafters tag with the VM catalog number 3357. The door stop is approximately 10 inches tall and approximately 6.75 inches wide. It weighs just under 6 pounds. The door stop has its original painted finish, with some minor wear, and a small amount of rust that is mainly on the bottom. See the photos for details. Thank you for looking! Track Page Views With.

Rare Antique Hubley Huge Size Fox Terrier Cast Iron Door Stop w/missing tail. Looking Straight, red collar Original paint and patina. Belonged to my grandmother. And it’s missing its original tail my grandmother inserted a mock-tail. Contact a cast iron antique repair company to see if they can match the original tail from many photos available on the Internet. Rare, hard to find antique Hubley toy company manufactured Lancaster, PA. , original cast iron circa 1920’s – 1930’s, used aged condition (see photos MISSING THE TAIL). It is heavy and sturdy and retains darkened original factory paint as shown. Has surface paint wear as shown. Measures 12 ” long, x 10 ” high, x 4 front to back. Weighs 10 pounds prior to packaging and has not been washed, cleaned, oiled, or waxed.
