Vintage Figural Cast Iron German Shepherd Door Stop, Hubley Repainted

CAST IRON DOOR STOP. Vintage Figural German Shepherd Door Stop. Made of Solid Cast Iron. I’m almost sure this is a Hubley, that has been repainted black. Measures 6 5/8″ high, and a little over 4″ at the widest.. Weights 3 pounds and 2.5 ounces.. Unmarked, You can see this doorstop in: The Encyclopedia of Antique Doorstops by Schiffer Publishing. CONDITION: Has been repainted. Has paint lost and minor surface rust. General wear to be expected. All items will be insured. All international items will be insured. My first priority is getting the item to you in good condition. All items are well packaged- I make the assumption that gorillas may handle them at some point along the way. Antique 1920’s Hubley Cast Iron Owl On Stump Doorstop Number 254 Repainted

The stop is circa 1920’s, however, it has a later black overpaint. No chips or cracks, but cast iron has a few minor manufacturing flaws. Approximately 10 tall, and 5.29 pounds. I think this is a scarce doorstop, if you can live with the re-paint. The photos are an integral part of my description. They will give an accurate representation, and best tell the story.
