Antique door stop cast iron rare Santa with sack and puppy 1900s rough original. Antique hard to find Santa door stop with dog by his side 1. Original not marked 2. Hard to find item 4. Iron is good, a little light surface rust on the bottom 5. Paint is rough, worn and some flacking 6. These were all hand painted, sometimes by people working at home 7. Nice form, just worn paint. Antique Cast Iron SANTA CLAUS Figure Doorstop Painted Christmas Door Stop 15 Vtg. This item is used and in good vintage shape with just some normal use and age wear (see pictures). It weighs about 6.9 pounds on my scale and stands about 15 inches tall. It definitely has some paint wear in various spots (see pictures). The edges also appear to have a little white paint scuffs from a wall it was standing against. Please look at the pictures carefully. You get exactly what is pictured. 1890’s Large Advertising Cast Iron Frog Door Stop Santa Ana Iron Works (Calif)

1890’s Large Advertising Cast Iron Frog Countertop Display, or Door Stop Santa Ana Calif. The advertising is on the underside of the frog, and there is some original paint on the underside too, the color seems to be varying shades of brown. The paint is no longer on the top side of the frog, but it is clearly old looking. Cast Iron, approximately 5 1/2″ long by 4 1/2″ wide, and 3 tall. There is some light surface rust in the top side crevices and on the under side also, but not much. The Santa Ana Iron Works was founded in the 1880’s and was the oldest Iron works in the county, and the largest, occupying a full city block. Sadly, it no longer exists.
