These fine turn-of-the (20th)-century Matching Cast Iron doorstops each feature a parrot or cockatoo surrounded by rococo scrollwork and a ring handle top. The condition is exceptional used, with mostly extant original paint and verdigris highlights among the cast iron scrollwork. Both impressed with the numbers “145” on verso. Mostly original paint remains with minor losses. Dimensions ea: 9.25 in. H x 5 in. W x 1-7/8 in. Weight, unpacked, pair: 4 lbs.

I did not attempt to clean the oxidation off or either figure, because I didn’t want to affect the value of the items. They both are of the color of bronze/copper, but the oxidation tells me they are cast iron. Still a very cool set of door stops for the right collector. We strive for 100% 5 star reviews.
