RaRe Folk-Art Tom Breen Large 10 LB Cast Iron “Indian Summer” Door Stop. There is a website stating Mr. Breen Produced 28 Cast Iron Door Stops in the 1980’s signed “Indian Summer” such at this one. He passed in 2011 at 73 and was well known is New England for his Folk Art Pieces he produced some of which he did with a chain saw. This Door stop is of a very high quality and very well done. It’s big and heavy and could be a one of a kind for sure if only 28 different ones where made. See all my photo’s which show great detailing of this piece including it’s size and weight on scale. The hand painting is pretty well done also and is made to last. Condition Description’ Has some light wear but No Damage No Repairs. Packaged well No Worries. This Cast Iron Old Salt Door Stop comes from my parents Scituate, Mass Summer Home and dates back over 75 years at least! This doorstop looks as if it could be used as a bank too by the slit in the bank. 15 inches tall and approximately 13 pounds. There is a name on the top of the base, I just can not read it as it’s been eroded from salt it seems like. The paint is in EXCELLENT condition. Fresh from the local Cape Cod estate we offer you this rare vintage Tom Breen cast iron “Indian Summer” bunny rabbit with Easter eggs wheel barrel doorstop. Made in New Hampshire, USA. There are not too many Tom Breen’s original doorstops left. Really nice collector’s item! It weighs 8.55 lbs and measures 11″ high, 10″ long 2 wide on the base.
