Antique Victorian 19thC cast iron imposing sejant lion doorstops 36cm 4.5kg each

A magnificent pair of imposing, cast iron Victorian doorstops. These heraldic, sejant lions are a near matching pair, please see images to identify the difference, 1 is stamped on the reverse Rowbotham, this being apx 1cm shorter than the other with no stamp and slightly heavier. A proud and handsome pair, more substantial than most examples and offered in exceptional condition, these are special, superb quality and crisp cast of exacting detail. Each weigh apx 4.5kg. LARGE CAST IRON VICTORIAN COMMEMORATIVE DOORSTOPLOZENGE MARK c1891/244cms

An unusual cast iron Victorian door stop probably depicting the commemoration of a wartime victory. The laurel wreath handle encloses a fleur-de-lys above various weaponry, spears, a cutlass and canons with canon balls at the base. On the back is the Reg No 183576 and the Victorian lozenge Design Registration Mark which is rather illegible. Dimensions: Height 44cm, width at base 24cm, depth at base 13cm. All our items will show signs of previous use unless described as immaculate so please study the photographs to assess the condition.
