CAST IRON DOOR STOP. Vintage Figural German Shepherd Door Stop. Made of Solid Cast Iron. I’m almost sure this is a Hubley, that has been repainted black. Measures 6 5/8″ high, and a little over 4″ at the widest.. Weights 3 pounds and 2.5 ounces.. Unmarked, You can see this doorstop in: The Encyclopedia of Antique Doorstops by Schiffer Publishing. CONDITION: Has been repainted. Has paint lost and minor surface rust. General wear to be expected. All items will be insured. All international items will be insured. Hubley Cast Iron Cat Doorstop Yarn/string Holder

This is a Hubley Cast Iron Cat. It is super cute and in great condition for its age. The eyes are not painted as in some examples. This was a yarn or string holder -therefore the hole near its nose. It looks great as a door stop though. It is heavy-I would estimate 5#s. It measures about 7 inches high by 3 1/2 inches width and 3 1/2 inches depth. Please examine the pictures for condition. The base does come off but I did not see any identifying marks on the inside. The back is stamped 124 and I think there is another number but I cant read it. Superb details to the face & dress. Marked on the back with “#22″. An example of this doorstop can be seen in “The Doorstop Book” by John & Nancy Smith on page 194. In very good condition with some paint loss & overall wear. Measures 9 3/8 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches wide. Weighs 4.8 lbs.
