12 Antique Hubley Cast Iron Borzoi Wolfhound Dog Doorstop Ultra Rare Original

This is a wonderful figural Hubley cast iron black and white Borzoi or Russian Wolfhound door stop #327 in the ultra rare hard to find small sized door stop version (a larger 16 size was more common). It measures about 12″ long by 8″ high by 3 deep, weighs about 4.5 pounds, and is in wonderful condition. This model has the more overall black and white fur, which is all original and untouched. It has excellent detailed workmanship from head to toe. The figural swirled fur and curvature to the back really lend a realistic air to the piece. And her sweet little face and crown of her head are adorable. Her collar still carries the little ring! There are no cracks or other structural damage. The original factory paint is in wonderful condition with tiny chips in several areas (see photos), typical of cast iron collectibles of this age. This rarely seen size is a must for any doorstop or cast iron collector, and for dog lovers too! Antique HUBLEY CAST IRON DOORSTOP Persian SITTING CAT #302 GR8 original paint

See full item description and all pics, many given. Antique HUBLEY CAST IRON DOORSTOP Persian SITTING CAT #302 GR8 original paint. A fantastic antique/old vintage Hubley cast iron full body cat doorstop with original paint. Beautifully painted light blue eyes. White and soft gray body. Marked HUBLEY & 302 inside body, see pic, it is hard to read in pic, number is incised above Hubley. No breakage, nice tight seams! No touch up painting. Paint chipping throughout as one has to expect to find, much better than most others I have seen online. Coloring overall retains it’s “brightness” also more than other examples. Pose, modeling and crisp casting is great. Staining spot at tail in center. Not sure if that would clean off some or not. I have only wiped the cat with a damp cloth and leave any further cleaning to new owner if desired. No wax or anything on the finish. Inside has light surface rust, again leave to new owner any cleaning. I have given many pics, please look them over for condition of original paint. Love the eye painting. Great size, measures approx. Terrific example of this doorstop. OFFERED WITH NO RESERVE! I send out an invoice within 24 hrs. Or less, otherwise Priority and Parcel are options. All sales are final.
