Also the original owner had an old metal chain as a collar around the neck of the dog, which was left as received. Due to wear and age the name of the Doorstop is printed on the very bottom front edge of the Base, somewhat hard to read, but it can be, when you look very closely. I was told by a knowledgeable person who specializes in Antique, Vintage Cast Iron Items, the Doorstop was made by Creation Co. They were only in operation for 1 year, closed to THE DEPRESSION Era.
