Antique Mutt with His Bone Cast Iron Dog Doorstop Creations Co. Very Good Pre-Owned Condition. Original Paint, showing some paint loss and wear consistent to age. Note: Due to age, I gently wiped it over, and it will need more cleaning. Measures approximately 8 3/8″ Tall X 5 5/8″ W X 2 Front to Back. Also the original owner had an old metal chain as a collar around the neck of the dog, which was left as received. Due to wear and age the name of the Doorstop is printed on the very bottom front edge of the Base, somewhat hard to read, but it can be, when you look very closely. I was told by a knowledgeable person who specializes in Antique, Vintage Cast Iron Items, the Doorstop was made by Creation Co. They were only in operation for 1 year, closed to THE DEPRESSION Era. Antique HUBLEY Cast Iron Doorstop MUTT and HIS BONE Original Paint

Offered is an antique cast iron figural doorstop in the form of an anxious dog guarding a large bone, MUTT and HIS BONE. Unmarked by the maker, I believe this cast iron doorstop, in original paint, was manufactured by HUBLEY circa the 1920s, The doorstop measures approx. 8.5 inches tall at tip of the dogs ear and 6.5 inches wide at the base. Condition is good, as shown. There is some paint loss and wear commensurate with age and use. Rare and hard to find. Marked Made in USA on back at the bottom. 4 1/4 tall; weighs almost 2 1/2 lbs. Adorable and in need of a new home. Condition: Paint loss and expected age wear; no breaks, cracks or other damage to cast iron. The Post Office increased their costs as of 6/23/19 by box size. We can only combine smaller items at a discount as per information above. For example, 2 train cars can be combined. 4 if the total length of the box of each is less than 16. We sell items, not boxes/packaging. We do the best we can to describe if a box, etc shows major damage but we cant afford to spend a great deal of time scrutinizing packaging. Antique Cast Iron Hubley Doorstop IMP Boston Terrier Dog RARE MOVABLE BONE

Antique Cast Iron French Bulldog Boston Terrier Puppy Dog. The IMP Hubley Doorstop. Designed by Grace Raynor (initials incised on back) in 1921 for Hubley. This is a very desirable Antique Cast Iron Doorstop. Known as the BOSTON TERRIER LITTLE BOY BLUE IMP PUPPY DOG. To have the bone attached and mechanical movement functioning is beyond rare! The bone is not totally screwed down, but allowed to have movement and play. What I believe to be authentic foundry original paint. With perhaps possibly exception of the red. This doorstop is in just awesome used condition considering. It is about 95 years old. It is a little over 2 pounds and 5 1/4 high. It is pictured in several Cast Iron Collectors Guides. This is from the HUBLEY USA Foundry. I just love this little guy and I believe you would love her too!! PLEASE REVIEW ALL OF THE PHOTOS AS I CONSIDER THEM. PART OF THE DESCTIPTION.
