Rare Antique Cast Iron Elephant Door Stop Early 1900s Trunk Up Good Luck. This is a scarce antique cast iron elephant door stop, dating to the early 1900s. Made in two cast pieces, it measures approximately 10 ¾” long x 6.5″ high and has a wonderful aged surface with traces of its original black paint. The natural wear gives it authentic character and patina, while remaining in excellent solid condition. Elephants have long been admired as symbols of strength, wisdom, and protection. An elephant with its trunk raised is considered especially lucky, believed to bring good fortune, prosperity, and positive energy to the home. Unlike many more common designs, this particular model is difficult to find, in fact, I have not come across another example like it throughout the entire Internet. Its rarity makes it a standout piece for collectors of antique cast iron or elephant-themed décor. Antique cast iron elephant door stop, c. Two-piece construction, solid and heavy. 10 ¾” L x 6.5″ H.
