Antique Hubley 1930s cast iron dog metal door stop statue art sculpture Terrier

We offer for your consideration an antique unmarked Hubley cast iron 10 Boston Terrier door stop home garden art statue figure from the 1930s. He has a flat slot head screw, which dates him to pre late 1930s. I hope you can see the oxidation of the screw; it is a small area and does not detract from his displayable beauty on both sides. If you study the photos you will notice he has the Hubley signature of of the red/pink lips and jowls. His paint and patina is incredible. His condition is stunning. You can feel confident with us. This heavy beauty will receive careful packaging. This terrier is 10″ height and a 10″ length. This perfect pet is heavy, strong, and well-made. You can see the quality craftsmanship in the muscular body. The rib cage shows, slightly, and is really a remarkable touch of the artisans ingenuity. The ripples of his colors and the creases on his forehead make him a unique addition for your home or garden. He weighs approximately 6.5 pounds; this weight is not exact because I was using an antique scale to weigh him. You can see he shows crackling of his paint. He was not washed, cleaned, or waxed. You may see a faded collar around the neck. He is brought to you in his found condition. He shows fading of his colors, but the overall effect of his colors was well preserved. Antique hubley cast iron monkey door stop original authentic hubley art statue

Antique authentic original Hubley cast iron monkey door stop. The only small conditional issues are that there are a few small white paint splatters around it because it was too close to something else being painted like a bedroom and little white dots are here and there. Not at all hard to remove but I just never got around to it and it did not bother me much. This is one of the very best condition ones i have seen. There are copies out there but it is very easy to tell the difference between them. It is about 8 inches tall and quite heavy. Not magnetic at all. He is about 7.5 inches long by 5.5 inches wide. Stands 2.25 inches. A lot of heft to this guy… Weighs 2.6 pounds. This is not a common item. Has a foundry mark on the bottom. Antique Hubley cast iron black Halloween CAT FIGURE door stop, arched back

A cat measuring almost 10 high and long, this cast iron figure looks very menacing. Arched back, extended tail and staring eyes. Made of cast iron, it is held together with a slotted screw, and the pieces themselves are finally molded. Not sure of age, and no maker’s mark, but thinking it’s a Hubley as it has the texturing on black coat.
