Beautiful antique detailed Cast-Iron Lion Doorstop – c 1860s. Very decorative detailed English Lion. A 19th Century Cast Iron Lion Rampant Door Porter with the lion resting on a waisted sockle. Cast with scroll decoration and cartouche, finished with a plinth base. Unusual and a great gift for a collector of antiques or doorstops.. Excellent condition as shown – still retaining part of its original bronze finish as shown. Weight about 4.8 kg! Please take a look at my other items. Antique Victorian 19thC cast iron imposing sejant lion doorstops 36cm 4.5kg each

A magnificent pair of imposing, cast iron Victorian doorstops. These heraldic, sejant lions are a near matching pair, please see images to identify the difference, 1 is stamped on the reverse Rowbotham, this being apx 1cm shorter than the other with no stamp and slightly heavier. A proud and handsome pair, more substantial than most examples and offered in exceptional condition, these are special, superb quality and crisp cast of exacting detail. Each weigh apx 4.5kg. Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Native American Indian Totem Pole Beaver Door Stop

Antique doorstops cast in the figure of a North American totem are scarce. This is the figure of an animal with what we would describe as upturned paws, small ridges of teeth on the lower lip (not easily seen but can be felt when touched), pointed ears, and a tail between its legs. We believe it is either a beaver or a wolf what do you think? There are no breaks or missing pieces to the doorstop. The original paint is in shades of cream/yellow, red, green, and black. There is overall original paint loss (see photos). There is also a dash of white or ivory house paint at the base (again, please see photo). The door stop stands approximately 6 1/8 inches high and we believe it was cast in the 1920s, although there are no foundry marks on it. The back and bottom are unpainted and unadorned. Antique Cast Iron Turkey Doorstop, Davison Foundry, 11.75. This handsome fellow was an estate sale find and is in fantastic shape, considering his age. Please view all the pictures carefully and check out the detail. Bradley & Hubbard (B&H) have a similar turkey, but theirs is a slightly larger size and had rubber stoppers on the back. Not all of them came that way, but it is one of the main differences. My research on this doorstop is based on information gathered from the book’The Doorstop Book: An Encyclopedia Of Doorstop Collecting’ by John C.
