Vintage 1930s Hubley Cast Iron Boston Terrier Dog Door Stop

Listed here is a charming 1930s Hubley cast iron Boston Terrier doorstop. It stands 10 tall and 10.5 long, attractive and functional, if a bit worn from many days of standing guard. Lifelike original paint and tight seams indicative of classic Hubley construction. Please see the accompanying photographs to further assess this items quality, condition, and suitability for your collection. I do my best to accurately describe items listed for sale. He still has his pipe which also has wear. Magnets stick to the figure but not to the pipe. Please review the photos for to determine condition. Vintage 1930’s Cast Iron Airedale/Wire Hair Fox Terrier Dog Door Stop Hubley

This cast iron dog is a very unique piece. It weighs 5 lbs. 14 ounces, and as you can see from the pictures, has paint chipping but is structurally in tact. It measures 8-1/2″ tall 7″ long. Please note that it does not have the screw to hold the 2 pieces together so I took pictures of the inside. It is numbered 270 on the inside. It might be a Hubley (the appearance is similar and consistent with others) but is not marked. Please see the pictures and zoom in for detail. Very nice hard to find Hubley white with gray markings cast iron horse with blue ribbon tail statue, doorstop. This statue has normal paint wear (please see pictures) but in great condition, no breaks or other damage. Measures 9.5″ long x 7 7/8″ tall x 3 5/8 wide at rear and weighs 4 lbs. OLD 1930’S ERA HUBLEY CAST IRON WIRE FOX TERRIER DOORSTOP FIGURINE! WONDERFUL ANTIQUE 1930’S ERA HUBLEY. CAST IRON WIRE FOX TERRIER DOORSTOP FIGURINE! I RECENTLY ACQUIRED A SMALL ESTATE COLLECTION OF MID 1800’S UP TO ABOUT 1950 JEWELRY, HOUSEHOLD AND ASSORTED ITEMS. HUBLEY CAST IRON FROM THIS PERIOD WERE NOT MARKED AND INCLUDED A WIDE RANGE OF SUBJECTS. THIS WONDERFUL SITTING DOORSTOP IS I BELIEVE A WIRE FOX TERRIER, MEASURING APPROXIMATELY 5 3/4″ X 4 3/4″ HIGH. I TOOK TWO SETS OF PHOTOS, THE FIRST IS WITHOUT A FLASH AND IS MORE ACCURATE IN COLOR. IT IS THE ORIGINAL PAINT, IS OFF WHITE WITH BROWN SHADING, DEEP SET EYES AND A RED COLLAR! Antique Hubley Cast Iron Fox Terrier Dog Doorstop 1920’s 1930’s, Side Facing

This wonderful vintage cast iron doorstop is Hubley’s right-facing Fox Terrier model from the 1920’s to 1930’s. It measures approximately 8 5/8″ long by 8 1/4″ high by 5 deep, and it weighs about 7 1/2 pounds. It has excellent detailed workmanship from the tip of his nose to his toes. Even the fur is three-dimensional! The hand painted eyes, ears and fur have a beautiful patina commensurate with age. Plus, the collar still has green paint remaining intact, which is a rarity! There are no cracks or other structural damage. The original factory paint is in wonderful condition with small chips (typical with this age of cast iron collectibles) as seen in the photos. This rarely seen condition is a must have for any cast iron or doorstop collector, and dog lovers too! Antique 1930s HUBLEY Sitting Persian Cat Cast Iron Doorstop Original Paint. Presented for your consideration is this neat antique doorstop. The doorstop is made entirely of cast iron and is of a Persian cat in a sitting pose. Its tail is curled around its body and its face has a curious look on it. Painted an off white color with dark aqua green eyes. Paint is all original. Nice detailing is throughout. Dates to the 1930s. This neat doorstop would make a great addition to any cast iron, Hubley or general antique collection! Some paint wear from age and use. No dents or dings. Overall in VERY GOOD condition.
