1930s Authentic Cast Iron Babe Ruth Door Stop Original RARE

Original Babe Ruth cast iron door stop. Its hard to find an original one of these as there are several reproductions, also some of the reproductions can date back to the 1940s. My father has been an antique dealer his entire life and actually collected doorstops at one point. He believes in his professional opinion that this is a true original door stop. I tried researching to see if there were any points or key characteristics that separate the originals from the repros, but there seems to not be much information out there. I will list every bit of information I can about this piece, and will answer any questions or send more pictures upon requests. Base width: 5 1/4 x 2. Weight: 1 lb 15.8 ounces. Up for sale is an Authentic heavy cast-iron Hubley French Bulldog Doorstop. My Grandmother owned this on Long Island, NY. I know for a fact that it is from the late 1920’s to early 1930’s. The doorstop has never be refurbished, repainted, or retouched in anyway. All paint is original. It was never left outside. Rare Authentic Spencer Doorstop Boston Terrier French Bull Dog Puppy Cast Iron

Item Specific : Here I offer you an absolute original Spencer Foundry Wedge Boston Terrier Doorstops. This one is the brown (also known as’red’,’seal’,’brindle’) version, it also comes in black and white and the famous’Spencer Green’ (also pictured from the collector’s guide book) as well as’Spencer Orange’. Certain colors were associated with Spencer so you can have fun looking to collect them all. It does not have foundry marks since many times it was just a paper label, which was just commonplace for Spencer Foundry. It does however have that signature dinosaur-like worn bump wedge. I is in really lovely aged condition, be sure to look close at all pictures. This is from the cast iron heyday era lasting from the turn of the century into the 1930’s and is in the collector’s guides. There is no structure damage that I see but please use the zoom tool to be double sure I have not overlooked anything important or unimportant in my observations. Completely stable, meaning, no parts are missing or have ever been glued back on and there is no evidence of repair. Finish is appropriate as well as texture for a makers typical materials; Paint or patina is guaranteed to be original and untouched. Please use the photo’s as the most important part of the description for size, maker and marks, as well as all aspects of condition. Weight is shown in photos and a soda can is 5 tall. How lucky would you be to have a chance at owning’a one in a million’ type of investment collectible? ! All my listings are basically the same from here down.
