Very Rare Authentic Antique Spencer Foundry Boston Terrier Cast Iron Doorstop-BL. Here we have a very rare vintage cast iron wedge style doorstop, which is an a. Ntique 1920s or 30s Boston Terrier, made by Spencer Foundry Company of Guilford, CT. This can be refrenced in the Encyclopedia of Antique Doorstops, by the Schiffer Publishing Company, with a High book value. The piece has aged nicely over many years and has darkened as shown, and also. Shows paint wear and patina consistent with age. This does have a manufacturing stress crack along the hind leg, but otherwise in very good structural shape, very solid and sturdy. Stands 8″ tall, 9″ long and 2 1/2 at the widest point. Weighs about 3 1/3 pounds without packaging. This is a very hard to find doorstop, which would be admired in anyones collection! View My Other Items For Sale. Authentic, Hubley, cast iron Doberman Pinscher, dog door stop, number 306. All original paint with very little paint loss. Still tightly pieced together and most of the seam barely visible. Measures 8″ tall by 8 1/2″ long. Gorgeous door stop can be used anywhere, not just the door. Beautiful on a shelf, mantle, desk, fireplace, etc. This dog’s authenticity can be verified by going to the doorstops website and look for Hubley dogs and scroll down to the Doberman 306. Dog is in great vintage condition. Has very few small paint chips and wear consistent for age and use, but no obvious damage. Pictures keep picking up highlights and dust in the seam and could look like paint loss, but it isn’t. I didn’t want to get too aggressive with cleaning this precious pup. I’ll save that to the new owner. This listing is for the door stop only. Anything else in the photographs is for props. Some prop items are available in my store.
