Rare Antique Cast Iron Elephant Door Stop Early 1900s Trunk Up Good Luck. This is a scarce antique cast iron elephant door stop, dating to the early 1900s. Made in two cast pieces, it measures approximately 10 ¾” long x 6.5″ high and has a wonderful aged surface with traces of its original black paint. The natural wear gives it authentic character and patina, while remaining in excellent solid condition. Elephants have long been admired as symbols of strength, wisdom, and protection. An elephant with its trunk raised is considered especially lucky, believed to bring good fortune, prosperity, and positive energy to the home. Unlike many more common designs, this particular model is difficult to find, in fact, I have not come across another example like it throughout the entire Internet. Early Victorian door stop, made of brass with a cast iron weight. Circa 1840 and is in excellent condition. The handle doubles as the cherub’s halo, with the cherub holding an arrow in his hands and standing on a pedestal and books. The craftsmanship is exquisite, with detailed folds and wings. The base of the door stop is solid cast iron, secured with screws. Base is 6″ x 3.5″.

Antique figural cast iron door stop. This piece takes the form of a bulldog in all its tough glory. It features high levels of detail in regards to the face and muscle tone, and sits on a small platform. It is believed to have been painted at one point in time, but the majority of this has been lost to time, save for the eyes. Exhibits minor signs of wear including paint loss and patina. 10.25″ W x 2.5″ D x 7.75 H Please refer to photos regarding condition. Early 20th Century Original Painted Rooster Door Stop. Please see all pictures as they are the most important part of the description. This regal rooster doorstop has surface rust, and his beak is chipped at the tip, but he’s a very solid vintage piece otherwise. Weighing at 2 pounds, 15 ounces, he can hold most doors open for you. Nice thick (not original) felt feet on the bottom, so he’s ready to display or do his work. There is a makers mark on the back of the rooster. It looks like a CS, but it is very difficult to see in the photo at the end. Meaures 9 1/2″ tall x 7″ at its widest point. Thank you for viewing and good luck!

These fine turn-of-the (20th)-century Matching Cast Iron doorstops each feature a parrot or cockatoo surrounded by rococo scrollwork and a ring handle top. The condition is exceptional used, with mostly extant original paint and verdigris highlights among the cast iron scrollwork. Both impressed with the numbers “145” on verso. Mostly original paint remains with minor losses. Dimensions ea: 9.25 in. H x 5 in. W x 1-7/8 in. Weight, unpacked, pair: 4 lbs.
