RARE ANTIQUE / VINTAGE CAST IRON STANDING RABBIT. LIFE SIZE AND VERY SUBSTANTIAL OLD CAST IRON STANDING ALERT BUNNY RABBIT DOORSTOP. HE IS A TAD ON THE CREEPY SIDE THOUGH. HONEST WEAR AND A SPECTACULAR PATINA SEEMS TO BE USED INSIDE IN LOW HUMIDITY- NOT A LOT OF RUST ON THE EXTERIOR, INTERIOR IS A BIT DIRTY. LOOKS TO HAVE SPENT A LONG TIME INDOORS OR POSSIBLY SOME KIND OF REFURBISHING- ISN’T A KIND OF PAINT THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. THERE ARE NO MAKER’S MARKS I CAN FIND- MAYBE INSIDE- AS ORIGINALLY HE WAS WELDED TOGETHER. MEASURES A LARGE 12 1/4″ TALL X 10 1/2″ LONG X 4 WIDE. Antique Cast Iron Door Stop Painted Fruit Tree In Bucket Great Detail 13.25

This is a beautiful ANTIQUE CAST IRON PAINTED FRUIT TREE IN HANDLED BUCKET DOOR STOP. The paint work and casting detail is VERY well done. It is BIG at 13.25, and VERY heavy at 5 1/2lb / 2.5kg. This is a piece of Art, nicely done. There is no casting number or foundry mark on the back or base of it that I can see. I think it’s in great condition and very well done, from the bucket to the leaves and fruit to the bark… You must be the judge. There is some oxidation, mainly between the leaves, but still retains most of it’s original paint. Pictures are taken with and without flash for contrast and clarity. 13 1/4″h x 7 1/4″ w x 7 1/2w base. Please see ALL pictures under magnification. They are a MAJOR part of the description.
