May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. Good/Very Good antique condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear. (typical of its age). But we see NO breaks or repairs. Antique Cast Iron 11 Garden Gnome Elf Door Stop Hubley Mold

This weathered yard ornament or door stop has all the character and detail of the Hubley, however, I cannot find a mark. It is very possible that this gnome was made by another company. I leave it to you to decide… I direct you to the close-up photos of the screws and the fit of the two pieces that are screwed together. They seem to be a good fit. Vintage Hubley Mold Signed Iron Art Cast Iron Doorstop-black Cat Green Eyes

This lovely vintage Hubley cat is 10 1/2 inches in lenght and 5 inches wide in its widest part. It has the number cast inside the cat shown in photo. It has its original paint for the eyes and mouth. The short-lived IRON ART COMPANY of Chicago, Illinois bought the mold for Hubley fireside cat doorstop. Iron Art Foundry made few doorstops in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s, making mostly trivets, mirror frames, and wall sconces. This vintage piece is signed Iron Art. Rare Antique Original ROOSTER Marked #8232 Cast Iron Doorstop Mold 135lbs.. This is basically the HOLY GRAIL if you collect door stops. I have researched for the past month before listing these and have come up with nothing. They could be worth a ton more but with the process of single antique ones and the rarity of this piece I think my price is fair. You WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER, except for the other two auctions I have listed. Be sure to check them out. They came from a dealer in Vermont that had them in his closed store for the last 30 years. On with the details. It is extremely HEAVY at a solid 135lbs. This piece Measures 14″ tall by 13″ wide by 4 thick and all solid, not hollow one bit! . AGAIN, marked 8232 on the bottom. Has the original holes that would have been used. This is a rooster. This would have been a flat back doorstop. Not sure if it ever made it into production and not sure who produced with 4-digit numbers. I put a drop of liquid gold on it just to bring out it’s gorgeous look rather than it looking dull and old. Did not remove anything from it whatsoever. I have two other examples for sale. Check out ALL the pictures as I do consider them part of the description as well.
