RARE VINTAGE PELICAN CAST IRON DOORSTOP – ALBANY FOUNDRY – VG ORIG. A rare vintage cast iron doorstop of a pelican sitting on a dock. It is marked Albany Foundry 118 on the back. The paint is original and in very good condition, with some minor chips and a nice aged surface. 8″ tall by 7″ wide. The first of two we will be listing. His winning of the’Grand Slam’ in 1930. Whimsical big head golfer in knickers and bowtie. Fabulous piece to proudly display in your collection. Backside hard to read, two words. First we can not make out, second is studio. These were originally made into ashtray by bolting. An ashtray onto the front, this appears to have never.
