Antique Hubley Cast Iron Doorstop Boston Terrier Puppy Dog Solid 4 1/2 Tall

This is the small solid doorstop. It measures about 5 3/4″ long, by 4 1/2″ tall to the top of the head. It weighs about 3.95 pounds. The condition is about good. There are no chips, cracks, breaks or hairlines to the cast iron. The paint is all original, with much wear, loss and rust. A very presentable old doorstop. I believe this is one of the harder dogs to find. The photos are an integral part of my description. They will give an accurate representation, and best tell the story. Rare Authentic Spencer Doorstop Boston Terrier French Bull Dog Puppy Cast Iron

Item Specific : Here I offer you an absolute original Spencer Foundry Wedge Boston Terrier Doorstops. This one is the brown (also known as’red’,’seal’,’brindle’) version, it also comes in black and white and the famous’Spencer Green’ (also pictured from the collector’s guide book) as well as’Spencer Orange’. Certain colors were associated with Spencer so you can have fun looking to collect them all. It does not have foundry marks since many times it was just a paper label, which was just commonplace for Spencer Foundry. It does however have that signature dinosaur-like worn bump wedge. I is in really lovely aged condition, be sure to look close at all pictures. This is from the cast iron heyday era lasting from the turn of the century into the 1930’s and is in the collector’s guides. There is no structure damage that I see but please use the zoom tool to be double sure I have not overlooked anything important or unimportant in my observations. Completely stable, meaning, no parts are missing or have ever been glued back on and there is no evidence of repair. Finish is appropriate as well as texture for a makers typical materials; Paint or patina is guaranteed to be original and untouched. Please use the photo’s as the most important part of the description for size, maker and marks, as well as all aspects of condition. Weight is shown in photos and a soda can is 5 tall. How lucky would you be to have a chance at owning’a one in a million’ type of investment collectible? ! All my listings are basically the same from here down. To Collector’s these figural are basically time capsules of a bygone era, wearing their beautiful battered and worn paint proudly, and have intense historical value as authentic artistic creations of this counties industrial age pioneer heroes. That said, items that or broken, missing parts, or repainted, even beautifully, can ruin an items investment value. Also, having no investment value at all are the current pieces being recreated overseas. Antique RARE Puppo Boston Terrier Puppy Dog Hubley Drayton Doorstop Cast Iron

Today I offer you one of my most treasured, rarest, and cutest antique child’s cast iron doorstops. Hubley Foundry’s revered designer G. Drayton started her magic with this rare red-bowed 1/2 Puppo Puppy Dog Doorstop. Yes, this is how it originated, it is indeed a child’s doorstop, not half a bank. I love it’s original beauty and you can be confident in it’s genuineness. You may have never seen one before as this design is her earliest in the art of cast iron. I truly love this piece and I absolutely know you will too. I feel it is in really lovely aged condition, be sure to look close at all 12 pictures.
