Littco Cast Iron Fisherman Bookend Doorstop Old Salt Gloucester Set/2 Nautical

Set of 2 Antique Littco Cast Iron Old Salt Gloucester Fisherman Bookends. They depict the traditional Cape Cod Gloucester fisherman in yellow rain gear carrying a net. Each bookend stands approximately 6-3/8 inches tall, 2-3/4 inches wide and 2-1/4 inches deep. Each weighs approximately 3 lbs 4 oz. They are in very good original condition with minimal paint loss considering their age. Paint is still bright and colorful. These would be a great gift for the nautical lover or great addition to a nautical themed room! Can also be used as doorstops. PLEASE NOTE: BOOKS ARE NOT INCLUDED! Used as props for pics only! The piece is un-marked but undoubtedly the work of the Hubley foundry. Early Antique Old Salt Sailor Painted Heavy Cast Iron Doorstop/bookend -Hubley

Up for consideration is an early antique (1920s) Old Salt Sailor carrying fishing net. He is solid cast iron. I believe it to be and Possibly is made by the Hubley manufacturing Co. The paint is all original and is in as found condition. He weighs 3.5 lbs and measures 6.5″ tall x 3″ long x 2.25 deep. See pics for condition and more info. He has some wear from age as you will see from pics. The felt on base has worn down but remnants of it still there. I researched him and found he him in the Doorstop Book page 247. This is an absolutely wonderful doorstop/bookend. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I try and represent my items as best I can.
