Genuine cast iron door stop weight I 9 pounds 7 ounces has 2 flat head screw in side and imprint on bottom hard to make out, but can see the letter H very clearly, many HUBLEY doorstops were stamped Hubley or FISH for Annie Fish who was a artist that worked at Hubley. Beautiful original paint all the seams and joints and the 2 screwsall match up to all the Hubley’s I’ve seen and researched. Came from a 78 year old collector in eastern Ohio that included lots of early hand forged iron and stoneware crockery and many early fine collectibles. See all pictures and my feedback.

Antique Cast Iron Painted Scottish Terrier Scottie Dog Doorstop Door Stop. I do not know the maker. The pieces seem to be a little loose. The pieces are still very sturdy but there is a slight shift why moved. The doorstop weighs 9.69 lbs and measures 10″ long by 9″ high. The finish is flat and smooth and there are flat screws holding the pieces together and they look old (see pictures). There is some wear to the finish which gives the doorstop a beautiful patina. I have 2 of these doorstops. They are very similar in condition. Thank you for reading my listing.

Up for sale is an extremely rare antique solid cast iron figural doorstop made the second half of the 19th century. The stop is in the form of an armed Scottish soldier standing on a platform base with his hand propped on the rock background. It’s made of very thick iron, is extremely heavy, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The casting is an exceedingly rare form. In nice antique condition and measures 14 3/4 inches tall by 12 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches back to front. Thank you for visiting “Dusty Treasures ” and please feel free to browse through.
