Condition: Antique, used condition with age-appropriate paint loss and typical yellowing to the paint finish, consistent with age and original use. A solid and heavy piece, full of early 20th-century character. Perfect for collectors of vintage Americana, dog-themed decor, or early Dick Brothers pieces.

This charming door stop is from an estate. We think it is an early Hubley. It is 9 inches tall and shows signs of wear from use. It has the original paint, and it has letters and numbers on the back written in black. I don’t know their significance. Please see the photos as they are part of the description. Hubley was one of the most prolific doorstop makers of their time. Their doosrtops are known for color and design making them one of the most sought after makers of doorstops, today. John Wright is in business today reproducing doorstops.

I believe this was made by the National Foundry co but it is unmarked so i cannot be positive. I do not know what year it is. It has typical age related wear. The backside is rusty colored. There will be paint chips and additional wear. It is a bit dirty. All flaws will not be visible in the photos or specifically mentioned in the description. It is possible that i have overlooked some additional small flaws. Please view all photos using zoom. The color may vary from photos due to lighting. Cat is 7″ tall and 3-1/2″ wide at the base. Weighs 6 pounds 14 ounces. Nice vintage collectable to display. Feel free to ask questions.
