ANTIQUE PAINTED CAST IRON INDIAN CHIEF DOORSTOP POSSIBLY HUBLEY WEIGHS ABOUT 3LB. This is an antique heavy cast iron doorstop in the shape of an Indian Chief. Probably dates to the early 1900s. Piece has most of the original paint still on it also. This was bought in Pennsylvania and we were told that it is possibly a Hubley brand piece. It is unmarked though as many of their pieces were. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Measures about 5.5″ tall by 6.5″ wide from horse tail to snout. Weighs about 3 lbs. An lovely old Cast Iron Horses Head Door stop. Possibly 19th Century but age unknown. Wear to ears, some knocks, paint peeling throughout and exposed rust undearneath paintwork. There are some white paint deposits which I have now removed (left out when decorating) which show in some pics. Measures 27 cm tall 10.5. A lovely old Horse Head door stop for the horse lover.
